Make kitchen functional

Make kitchen functional

Welcome to yet another blog from South London Kitchen and Bathroom fitters.
Here you will find tips on how to make your kitchen functional.

When you choosing a new kitchen, it is important to make it as functional as possible. In this blog we’ll give you a few tricks how to achieve it.

First, and most important thing is to utilize kitchen cupboard space. Most kitchen cupboards have shelves inside and it is completely fine. Or is it?

We all know how frustrating it is when you want to get stuff from the back of cupboard shelf and have to get all the other stuff out before you can even reach it. Simple solution for it is to use drawers instead of shelves. You can use multiple drawers in one single unit. Deeper kitchen drawers can be used for pans. Shallower ones for plates, cups canned stuff and cutlery.

But, what to do to avoid your kitchen looking like mechanic’s workshop with multiple drawer lines on cupboard fronts? The answer is simple –  use single front door attached to the deep bottom drawer with all the other drawers hiding behind it.

To utilize corner space, where possible use retractable shelves, magic corners and corner carousels.

All these come at the price as opposed to shelves, but let’s be honest, it’s worth it.

I hope that this blog will shed the light on to subject. If you still have any questions, please give a call to South London Kitchen and Bathroom fitters and we’ll be happy to assist you further.
